Heyam is a female founded label, named after the mother of founder Merna Hermez. Merna draws her inspiration from her mother, whose remarkable life story forms the foundation of the brand.

As refugees, she and her sister came to Germany from Iraq as children in 1999. There, her mother, a single mother, built a new life through hard work and determination.

Despite the initial challenges, she overcame the language barrier and successfully trained as a seamstress while managing the household and raising her children. The strength to overcome these challenges shaped Merna and inspires her to empower women to strengthen their independence and realize their dreams through Heyam Jewelry.
